Emma is an image maker who explores a dialogue between the natural and man-made through photography. She is especially interested in the ‘process of making’ and delves into this desire in the black and white darkroom. Her work involves rippling themes of human impact, interaction and influence on the environment. Each of her projects is imprinted with personal experience; the development and ideas within her work are directly impacted by events happening in her life. Structural compositions and layered narratives immerse her thought processes. She is driven to explore, experiment and express ideas through the stillness of photographic prints.
